On April 7th, 2018, tenants of 700 Ocean Ave experienced a major leak and flood that impacted multiple apartments. Tenants reached out to the management company, Brooklyn Equities, and their maintenance personnel multiple times but did not receive any response.
The Fire Department was then called and an apartment door was broken down to stop the leak and flooding from further damaging tenants’ personal belongings.
As of today, 4/12/18 Brooklyn Equities has done nothing. Employees stated that they will not do any repairs because the management company has not authorized them to do so. This is the same company who denied heat and hot water for the tenants and is now stepping up their game of negligence.
We need you to make their phones ring off the hook with demands of getting repairs done both to Brooklyn Equities and 311.
Call Brooklyn Equities : (347) 689-7544
Tell them to repair and compensate tenants for damage at 700 Ocean Ave.
Please Report John Sutherland of Brooklyn Equities to the city: Call 311 or http://www1.nyc.gov/311/index.page or for the rat infestation through the Dept of health: https://on.nyc.gov/2dDef8H
